Customer-Generated Electricity

Net Metering

Ferry County PUD offers a net metering program to customers who wish to generate some of their own electricity while still connected to the PUD’s electric network. Net metering means the difference between the electricity that you buy from us and the energy that you generate using your own solar equipment. In Washington State, customers who generate their own electricity may be eligible for incentive payments from the Washington State Department of Revenue.

Please contact Ferry County PUD for interconnection standards. You will need to meet all applicable codes and standards, obtain Ferry County PUD approval, obtain an approved Washington State L&I electrical inspection, and sign a net metering agreement.

To be eligible to receive Washington State incentive payments, the customer will need to apply with the Department of Revenue. For more information please check out the following websites.
