Net Metering

As of November 2018, Ferry County PUD had reached the State regulated Net Metering obligation, under RCW 80.60.020, with its consumer interconnection agreements. The District had 15 agreements in place with a total system capacity of over 130 kW. All 15 of these systems being solar generating facilities.

In 2019, new legislation was passed at the state level increasing the minimum cumulative generating capacity of net metering systems allowed for our District. This legislation increased the District’s capacity to 8 times its previous obligation. Based on this latest legislation, the District will provide for interconnection of up to 1,030 kW. As of December 2023, there were 38 systems interconnected totaling 370 kW.

The District is currently accepting new applications for interconnection of renewable energy systems on a first come first served basis. If you are considering interconnection with the District, please contact the District Auditor, Sue Nush to be added to the request list. Or, if you have questions: 509-775-3325 at snush@fcpud.com.

The required agreement can be found at the link below or is available upon request at the District Office.
