Clean Energy

Help Shape Your Clean Energy Future

Public Utility No. 1 of Ferry County (Ferry County PUD) is planning how we’ll transition to cleaner energy by preparing our 2026-2029 Clean Energy Implementation Plan (CEIP). Your input helps ensure everyone benefits, especially communities who have been most impacted.

The CEIP outlines the steps Ferry County PUD will take to provide 100% clean electricity by 2045. It is part of Washington’s Clean Energy Transformation Act (CETA) requirements, a law enacted in 2019 that sets statewide clean energy standards:

Clean energy goals infographic that says No Coal, GHG Neutral and 2045 100% Clean
  • No coal resources by the end of 2025
  • Greenhouse gas neutral by 2030
  • 100% clean electricity by 2045
As a consumer-owned utility, Ferry County PUD is required by CETA to develop and submit a four-year CEIP to the Washington State Department of Commerce. This plan must identify:

  • Specific actions to demonstrate progress toward meeting the clean energy standards
  • Interim target for the percentage of retail load served using clean energy resources
  • Specific targets for energy efficiency, demand response, and renewable energy
  • Specific actions to support an equitable transition for all customers
