Meter-mounted Transfer Switches for Generators

GenerLink and Trifecta Rentals

Ferry County PUD offers Global Power Product’s GenerLink and Trifecta to its customers for a monthly rental fee. These are meter socket-mounted transfer switches that are installed behind your home’s electric meter by a PUD serviceman and are designed for use with compatible portable generators that are temporarily connected to your home. Once installed, you simply plug your generator into the transfer switch and disconnect your house from the electric utility grid which allows you to use your household main circuit panel to select the circuits and appliances you wish to operate, based on your generator’s capacity.

It also prevents electricity from backfeeding onto the power lines. Backfeed is a dangerous condition in which electricity from a generator flows back into the electric distribution system. It can harm PUD repair crews working to restore power and can damage equipment.

Please contact the PUD for prices. You can learn more about specific generator and electric service requirements at globalpowerproducts.com/transfer-switches/.
