Help Shape Your Clean Energy Future

Public Utility No. 1 of Ferry County (Ferry County PUD) is planning how we’ll transition to cleaner energy by preparing our 2026-2029 Clean Energy Implementation Plan (CEIP). The CEIP outlines the steps Ferry County PUD will take to provide 100% clean electricity by 2045. It is part of Washington’s Clean Energy Transformation Act (CETA) requirements, a law enacted in 2019 that sets statewide clean energy standards:

Clean energy goals infographic that says No Coal, GHG Neutral and 2045 100% Clean
  • No coal resources by the end of 2025
  • Greenhouse gas neutral by 2030
  • 100% clean electricity by 2045
As a consumer-owned utility, Ferry County PUD is required by CETA to develop and submit a four-year CEIP to the Washington State Department of Commerce. This plan must identify:

  • Specific actions to demonstrate progress toward meeting the clean energy standards
  • Interim target for the percentage of retail load served using clean energy resources
  • Specific targets for energy efficiency, demand response, and renewable energy
  • Specific actions to support an equitable transition for all customers
